The programme was organized in online mode through google platform. Dr. Renjan B, Assistant Professor discussed the role of farmer in food and nutrition security, safe to eat food, organic cultivation, pisciculture, mushroom culture, apiculture, farmer contribution towards safe food etc. Ms. Shamsiya A H, Assistant Professor discussed the importance of nutrition security, food safety, nutrients, importance of nutrients on health and wellbeing, points to consider about minimizing loss of nutrient etc. A total of 100 farmers were participated in the programme. KVK Kollam jointed along with farmers during the Hon’ble Union Agriculture Ministers address “Food and Nutrition for Farmers under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”.
