The 17th Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) Meeting was conducted on 26th February at the seminar hall of KVK Kollam. The inaugural session commenced at 10.30 AM with the Director of Extension, KAU, Dr. Jayasree Krishnankutty welcoming the distinguished guests and participants of the SAC meeting. Hon`ble Vice-Chancellor of Kerala Agricultural University, Dr. R Chandra Babu inaugurated the SAC meeting. A special address for the SAC was given by Dr. DV Srinivasa Reddy, Principal Scientist and Nodal Officer, ATARI Bangalore. Associate Director of Extension (SZ) and Associate Director of Research (SZ) were also attended the meeting. Representatives from ICAR institutes, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Development departments of the District, Media personnel, Financial institutions, Progressive farmers and entrepreneur actively participated in the deliberations. Apart from the members special invitees also attended the meeting. Egger nursery unit and renovated Sales counter were inaugurated. A total of 16 numbers of leaflets, Newsletter, Coffee Table Book of KVK Kollam, Practical manual of nursery worker were also released at the SAC meeting.
