KVK Kollam conducted district level Kisan Mela with the participation of Agricultural Development and Farmers Welfare Department ,ATMA and other line departments. The programme includes farmer scientist interactive sessions on various topics pertaining to agriculture, exhibition, agro clinic and technical deliberations on Natural farming, Oilseeds, Pulses and other locally relevant technologies.The inaugural session commenced at 10.00 AM with the Professor and Head Dr. Bini Sam welcoming the distinguished guests and participants to the inaugural function and Kisan Mela. Shri. K. Harshakumar, Vettikavala Block Panchayat President chaired the programme. Kisan Mela was inaugurated by Hon. MP Shri. Kodikkunnil Suresh. Smt. Sheeba KS, PAO Kollam explained the Central Sector Schemes and Njangalum Krishiyilekku project. Fecilitations were expressed by Adv. Sajaya Kumar, Grama Panchayat President, Vettikkavala , Shri. M P Sajeev, Ward Member, Uliyanadu East, Smt. Bindu Prasad, ward member, and Dr. Joy M, Professor and Head, Farming System Research station and Shri. Ajith Kumar P V , ADA Vettikkavala.
