District level Workshop on Open Precision Farming - Prestigious programme of State Horticulture Mission, GoK was hosted by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kollam. Around 300 beneficiaries were equipped with Precision farming technique, crop management and crop protection measures.

Shamsiya AH, Home Scientist, KVK Kollam" presented a paper titled “Nutritional Efficacy and Consumer Acceptability of Bio-fortified Sweet Potato Varieties 'Bhu Sona' and 'Bhu Krishna' for Combating Micronutrient Deficiencies: Insights from a Nutri Garden Initiative in Kollam, Kerala” at the Two-Day National Seminar on Innovative Strategies for Global Nutrition Security: Focus on Fortification held on October 16-17, 2024.
